WELCOME

Having formed in February of 2007, we are one of the newest Republican women's organizations in Houston, Texas.  We are interested in promoting Republican thought and attracting women of all ages and backgrounds to our group. Monthly luncheon meetings (in 2008) with diverse speakers are scheduled at 11:30, on the third Monday of each month. The location of the meeting is the  Doubletree Guest Suites, 5353 Westheimer (between Yorktown and Sage) on the Mezzanine level.

If you are not already a member, but have an interest, you are most welcome to join us for a luncheon meeting. The price for the buffet luncheon is $20.00.  There is a $3.00 fee if you only partake in refreshments and the parking cost for those having lunch is $1.00 if you self-park. Valet parking is available. RRRW is an independent club so all women are considered full members when joining.  We encourage guests to visit and accept associate memberships for men.

It is imperative that we "stand together," in this election year.  *"If you don't work to control events, they will control you".  We must make certain that our voices and thoughts are heard; and, with enthusiasm and a positive approach, get out the vote for our Republican candidates.

Please come back to our site for future updates. In the meantime, if you have any comments regarding this site, please do not hesitate to contact admin@reaganrepublicanwomen.com . ****The PROGRAM for each meeting is announced in our monthly newsletter.  It can be found under the Newsletter and Events tab on this site.

MISSION STATEMENT

"The preservation of our nation; and the security of our citizens depend upon "The Constitution," the laws, the Courts and upon those who represent us. For this reason, the fundamental function and efforts of Ronald Reagan Republican Women will be to provide a medium for political education and legislative information for our membership and the community around us. We plan to interest and educate young women, and men from diverse backgrounds, in Republican thought and ideals; to offer them a forum and the opportunity to participate in grassroot politics.

While educating and motivating our members, we will recruit, campaign and help to elect qualified Republican candidates for office. We believe in backing those groups that are furthering the Republican cause.

PAST AND PRESENT PROJECTS

The founding leaders of this organization are experienced as campaign workers; past political and charity club presidents; have held numerous jobs in the political support realm; and have worked diligently to select and elect Republican candidates. Recently,we worked successfully with Michael Wolfe, Harris county Education Trustee, to support his proposal to name the Harris County Education Building after President Ronald Reagan.  We were the ONLY Republican women's group to participate in  County Judge Ed Emmett's first campaign event at Minute Maid Park, where he successfully raised over $500,000...a homerun start!  We will continue to be very active in "Caring for America" projects that have included: Supporting Ou Troops, supporting our Veterans at the VA Hospital here in Houston, supporting the USO, and Brooke's Army Medical Center in San Antonio.  In (2007) we raised over $6,000 for the USO.

At every luncheon meeting we collect current magazines, and books, to take to the Michael DeBakey Veteran's Center and Hospital for outpatients and those who are hospitalized. Please join us in this effort.

"We, the members of the New Republican Party, believe that the preservation and enhancement of the values that strengthen and protect individual freedom, family life, communities and neighborhoods and the liberty of our beloved nation should be at the heart of any legislative or political program presented to the American people." —Ronald Wilson Reagan (1911 - 2004)
